Chaos has consumed Gotham City. Driven by a mysterious new villain, cultish devotees are flooding the streets with destruction and violence. The city needs its hero, and that hero is you.

See your favorite characters in VR and find out who (if any) become villains.

Prowl the dark alleys of Gotham City, then descend into its underbelly. Explore iconic locations like the Monarch Theatre and Bowery from an all-new perspective in your journey to bring the Rat King to justice.

Job Summary

Joined the studio as contract level designer to work on a Batman VR game. Studio was acquired in August 2022 by Meta as an Oculus first-party studio and became a contractor for Meta. Camouflaj rehired me but only for a brief stint in 2024.

Role

Level Designer

  • Designed, greyboxed, and iterated on multiple semi open-world and linear levels, in Unity, to create the game's campaign structure and spaces for exploration.

  • Scripted and designed NPC behaviors in a level using animations and dialogue tools for world-building.

  • Scripted gameplay and interactive segments for the game’s narrative content and main story sequences.

  • Scripted combat and stealth encounters using visual scripting and gameplay systems, to build level flow and test players’ skills.

  • Designed and scripted puzzle encounters to challenge the players’ knowledge with game mechanics.

  • Communicated with engineers on implementing gameplay systems and tools for level encounters and unique game interactions.

  • Collaborated with environment artists on set dressing, prop placements, and lighting for player guidance and level details.

  • Communicated with animators on animations for levels to build the world and to build up encounters.

  • Implemented objectives and save points to guide and help players through the levels.

  • Fixed various bugs across multiple levels with scripting or cinematic issues.

  • Wrote temporary dialogues for characters in the scene to convey what happens in the sequence.
