Description

Joined the studio to work on a Batman VR game. Studio was acquired in August 2022 by Meta as an Oculus first-party studio and became a contractor for Meta.

Role

Level Designer

  • Designed and greyboxed multiple levels, using Unity, to create the game's campaign.

  • Collaborated with environment artists on set dressing and lighting for player guidance and level details.

  • Scripted gameplay and interactive sequences with visual scripting for levels that have players experiencing narrative beats.

  • Scripted combat and puzzle encounters to build level flow and test players’ skills.

  • Worked with engineers about implementing unique game interactions or tools for level encounters.

  • Communicated with animators on animations for levels to build the world and to build up encounters.

  • Implemented objectives and save points to guide and help players through the levels.

  • Fixed various bugs across multiple levels with scripting or cinematic issues.

  • Wrote temporary dialogues for characters in the scene to convey what happens for the sequence.
