Game Concept

Short Version: Players will be exploring an island where they fight their inner emotions to find inner peace.

Long Version: The players would be playing a hero who would go through different islands and fight different types of emotions so that they can overcome that certain emotion. In the end of the story, the players would find inner peace once letting go all of their own emotions through each island.

Roles

Programmer

  • Implemented FMOD, in C++, to add sound effects and background music.

  • Programmed two aspects (Physics & Transform) of the core engine.

  • Programmed basic AI for the enemies where the enemies in the game shot single bullet and triple bullet at the player and chased after the player.

  • Programmed the options menu for the game so that players can adjust the volume of the sound and music.

Designer

  • Designed the narrative of the game so that the team can understand what kind of game the team is developing.

Game Director

  • This role was held for 2/3 of the development time.

  • Conceptualized the demo levels for the project so that players can experience what the game would've played like in the final version.

  • Communicated with the team on what type of mechanics the game would have when most of the engine is complete.

Producer

  • This role was held for the last 1/3 of the development time.

  • Organized the team to cooperate with each other and finish the project for submission.

  • Scheduled the last meetings to get the idea on where the team is at for submission.
